Once upon a time in the faraway
land there lived a fisherman named John on the banks of a river in his small
shack. He lived there with his wife. Now, the fisherman was a nice person,
happy with his work & content with his life, he used to get up early in the
morning, sail in is small boat to the middle of the river & catch some fish
in the strong net which he had made himself & then head to the market place
to sell them. He was poor but earned enough money for two square meals. He had
also cultivated some vegetables required for his household in a small piece of
land besides his shack & used to make money by selling the excess yield. He
was happy with his life, but his wife was a very greedy woman, she always kept
complaining no matter what & was very lazy too. She never helped John
either in catching fish or in the farm, but wanted to grow rich &
lead a life of luxury. She always kept
nagging him for new clothes & jewellery, but poor John couldn’t afford it
all. He used to explain to her that if they work hard they will grow rich one
day & she used to rudely answer, “I don’t want to work hard & ruin my
beauty & look ugly when I grow rich.” John kept on doing all the work while
his wife dream't about richness.

The Crow & the Sparrow
Once upon a time in the faraway woods there was a big old Banyan tree. It was a very huge, green tree. Now this was not like any other tree, it was the home of many different birds. It had many strong branches that could support the nests of many birds. It was a safe haven for the birds as the tree stood strong with its roots firmly in the ground & no thunder or fierce wind could shake it. On the same Banyan tree there lived a crow & a sparrow they were very good friends. They lived there with their families. They did all the things together like going in search for food, teaching their children how to fly, feeding their children, flying together everywhere & spending the leisure time together. They even had their nests on the same branch. All the birds lived happily.

Amy's Birthday
Once upon a time there was little girl named Amy, who lived with her mother & father in a small cottage by the country side. Amy’s father was a farmer & her mother worked as a household help. They were very poor, but lived happily with each other. Amy never used to complain about anything she was content with whatever she had. Daily in the morning she used to wash up, get ready & go to school, in school she used to pay attention to what was being taught & was a very good student. All the teachers praised Amy & she was indeed teacher’s pet. She had many friends who loved Amy a lot & amongst all Mini was her best friend, they always used to sit together, have lunch together & play together in school. After the school Amy used to return back to home, complete her homework and help her mother in household chores.

The Naughty Fairy...
Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom, there lived an old woman named Mrs. Tubby. She was a jolly old woman who lived alone in a nice cosy & beautiful cottage in the woods. The cottage had cute little wooden doors and windows, a small kitchen and a warm bed for her beside the window through which the sunlight sneaked in every morning. She had a cow, to provide her with milk and a nice little garden in front of her cottage with shady trees laden with fruits, neat rows of planted vegetables and colourful flower beds. Everyday Mrs. Tubby used to get up in the morning, feed the cow some green grass, milk the cow, sweep and clean the cottage, pick some fruits, vegetables and flowers from the garden and then get ready to go to the nearby market in the town. The jolly old woman used to sell the milk, fruits, vegetables, & flowers at the local market and make a living & while coming back in the evening she used to get the things she needed and the grocery. This was the same routine that Mrs. Tubby followed year after year, but she was happy and content with her life.
